Graphene and the SDGs

What are the sustainable development goals?

On September 25th 2015, countries adopted a set of seventeen goals to end poverty, protect the planet and ensure prosperity for all as part of a new sustainable development agenda. Each goal has specific targets to be achieved over a span of 15 years.

For the goals to be reached by 2030, everyone needs to do their part: governments, the private sector, innovators, universities, civil society and people like you.

How does Pheneovate and graphene align with the SDGs?

Each goal has specific targets to be achieved over a span of 15 years. The commercialization of graphene products and technologies is paramount to a particular number of these goals, specifically Goals (#8) Economic Growth; (#9) Industry Innovation and Infrastructure; and (#17) Partnerships for the Goals. Our marketplace and community aligns with the achievement of other goals as well, including clean energy, clean water, and climate action.

The team at Pheneovate and our global partners firmly believe that continued innovation in the nascent graphene industry can accelerate the achievement of the 2030 Sustainable Development Goals.
